AW26 Knitwear: What Buyers Should Watch

Quiet luxury, chunky texture, traceable fibres — the signals shaping next autumn-winter knitwear programs.

By Puyuan Fashions Editorial

Texture returns as the hero

After several seasons of flat, minimal knits, AW26 leans back into surface interest: chunky 5G gauges, marl yarns, jacquard storytelling and sculpted collars. Buyers are testing one or two statement styles per supplier before committing to volume basics.

For suppliers, that means sampling agility matters more than ever — a 7-day sample window can decide whether you are in the buyer's autumn plan.

Colour: cocoa, moss and ink

Look for warm neutrals with depth — cocoa brown, mossy green, ink blue — alongside cream and oat. Bright accents appear only in accessories and trims, keeping the core palette commercial and investment-friendly.

Traceability is becoming a purchase criterion

More programmes now ask for fibre-origin documentation, especially for wool and cashmere. RWS wool and GRS recycled yarns are no longer niche — they are entering standard RFQs.
